Backpacking and the Art of Getting Lost

Backpacking and the Art of Getting Lost

There are tourists and then there are backpackers. Your basic tourist goes to very specific destinations that are very well worn and rarely, if ever, go off the trail – and there is nothing wrong with that.

But backpackers seek more than than what’s in a Lonely Planet travel guide.

We backpackers seek the new and unknown. What few have seen or even know about. This could be something as big as discovering a secret temple or as little as finding a tucked away family restaurant where its the best food you ever had.

Either way, it’s an experience. An art.

Getting (intentionally) lost is sometimes the best and only way to achieve this.
