Everybody knows that the hottest holiday action happens during spring break, but where are the hottest destinations to party? Below are the top five destinations for Americans to party during spring break 2013.
Cancun, Mexico
Cancun, Mexico, is still the hotspot for Americans during spring break, whether you’re looking to party hard or mix in some relaxation. Cancun goes crazy during March and April as students flock to the gorgeous sands for late night clubbing and ‘margarita madness’. If you’re looking for a calm day away from the hustle and bustle, you can catch a bus to the quieter beaches of Playa del Carmen or experience the undersea wonders by going snorkelling in Xel-Ha.
Miami and South Beach, Florida
As Will Smith’s song Miami puts it: “Party in the city when the heat is on, all night on the beach till the break of dawn”. Spring breakers love Miami for its late night partying and great prices! For those with a bit of attitude, and a bit of extra cash in their pockets, South Beach (just east of Miami) is the place to be seen on the ‘cool club’ scene.
If you want to slow down the pace there is also Fort Lauderdale and Daytona Beach. But remember, this is no match for fast-paced fun when compared to neighbouring Miami and South Beach.
London, United Kingdom
For those who have the travelling bug and feel like going further afield for spring break, London, England, has been hotting up as a destination of choice for Americans during March and April. When in London you most likely won’t be partying outdoors; due to colder climates, most spring break partying will take place in London’s many lively nightclubs, bars, pubs or live music gigs. If you fancy taking a break from partying there are plenty of sight-seeing opportunities in the UK’s capital, including Big Ben and the Queen’s home, Buckingham Palace.
Barcelona, Spain
Looking to travel to Europe for spring break, but fancier a slightly warmer climate? Then Barcelona, Spain could be for you. Packed full of gorgeous beaches, amazing food, and fantastic nightlife, there is plenty of culture that will keep you going from day to night. Head down to the busy shopping street of Las Ramblas or take in Antoni Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces, and if you have time, fit in an FC Barcelona football game. The possibilities are endless and there are lots of tour companies who’ll be more than happy to help you find ways to fill your time, as well as get to the best parties!
The Bahamas and Jamaica
If you are looking for a hot destination in which to spend your spring break, then both beautiful Caribbean countries, the Bahamas and Jamaica, have plenty to offer. The white sands and blue waters of Nassau in the Bahamas are proving very popular, with boatloads of Americans during March and April, also helped by the fact that this paradise island has plenty of spring break packages at pocket-friendly prices. The forecast for spring break 2013 in Jamaica is also set to be hot and ‘jammin’, full of partying action. In between your nights of fun, why not pack in some water sports at Montego Bay and ‘take a walk on the wild side’ by exploring the island: just remember to be safe.
Whether you are looking to party hard under the sun and on a beach, or if you are looking to discover new sights and what Europe has to offer, there is a perfect hotspot for every American in our guide to the top five destinations for spring break 2014.

Im going to bahamas or mexico next year for spring break and want to know the best place to go where the is parties and things to do.
It seems that I never have the time nor money to go anywhere during Spring Break. I am always working, or had to work on projects/essays for school. It seems that many of my peers take this week off work to either go on a trip or doing nothing.
Shouldnt students want to work more during this time to save up some money for expenses?
We want to go on vacation March 6th – 13th, and dont want too much of a spring break crowd. That scene is just not for us. Thanks.
