Hostels, Hotels and Apartments in Paris

Paris is the city of love, but it cannot always be kind on your wallet.  However, as it is such a big city, there is a wide range of accommodation in Paris to suit any budget.  Here are just a selection of some of the hostels, hotels and apartments for those visiting Paris in the near future.

Purpose Built Party Hostel

This new addition to northern Paris is the St Christopher’s Inn, just 2 stops from Montmatre and Gare du Nord metro.  It is home to 300 beds, so you will be unlucky if you do not find a place to stay here.  The hostel has live music in its own Belushi Bar with different events organised throughout the week. You probably will not be getting much sleep in this hostel as Wednesday is Karaoke, Friday is Student Night and Saturday is Club Party. Get friendly with your room mates as there are 8 or 12 people in each country.  For those looking to party, this is the place for you and those on a budget will be happy to hear there is free breakfast and euro dinners every day at 7pm.

Good Value for Lone Travellers

This has to be one of the cheapest places in Paris for single room, from 29 euros a night.  This one star hotel, Boissiere, is located just on the other side of the Boulevard Peripherique, but still very close to Paris.  It is ideal for those travelling on their own or 2 travelling together.  Reception is open 24 hours and check in is from 3pm. The hotel is small but there is a supermarket, postoffice and laundrette close by. There is even parking at a cost of 8 euros per day.

Opera

For those wanting to be a bit more central, the Hotel Opera Vivaldi is an excellent value for money 3 star hotel.  It is located between Boulevard Haussman, the Opera Garnier and Galleries Lafayette. Recently undergone a renovation, the facilities are all modern. All 34 rooms are ensuite with air conditioning, tv and WiFi (although not free).  There is a 24 hour reception and room rates cost from 59 euros per night for a double which does not include the city tax.

Champs Elysees Chic

The 5 star Hotel Lancaster just off of the Champs Elysees is for those who want to be in the heart of all the action. Single rooms cost from 340 euros a night so it will not be kind on your wallet, however if you are going here for a special treat, it is well worth it.  The hotel was built in 1889 as a private mansion and converted in 1930 into the hotel it is today.  All 60 rooms have been beautifully decorated with unusual antiques, precious porcelain and Louis XV furniture.  At the same time, they are also fully equipped with the latest modern appliances, WiFi, flat sceen tvs, ipod docking stations and dvd players.

Renting Your Own Apartment

If you are heading over to Paris for a few days, it might be more comfortable to rent one of the short term Paris apartments.  There are many companies that offer rentals in the city centre, from studios to 4 bedroom apartments. Renting an apartment lets you cook your own French cuisine, relax in your own living room and sleep in a comfortable bed.

Travelling round Europe can get expensive.  Renting apartments in Paris can be very cost effective especially if travelling in a large group.

My class takes a senior trip the coming year to Paris. There exists a total of nine people. I want someone with experience to inform me in which the easiest, least expensive destination is. Either apartment/flat/attic or hotel/hostel. Does not matter, I simply need the best offer.

Hello, I have visited France before only to Paris for three days at any given time (been several occasions). I absolutely loved it. This time around I am likely to go next summer time after my sister and that i graduate with this Masters with family who’ve never been abroad before.

    1) Wondering when is the greatest time for you to look/buy airfare tickets online?

    2) Possibly must i seek advice from AAA or othe travel specialists for a great deal? Ideally Let me stay the entire summer time, but reasonably 2 days in France/Europe.

    3) How much cash don’t let bring around abroad besides 2 charge cards each? I calculated to date $20 each day on food x fourteen days period of vacation = $280 $ $ $ $ excluding fun activities. Only 4 grown ups and also the relaxation children in class so they’ll have the ability to enter into venues free.

    4) Don’t wish to remain in hostels…never accomplished it apart from hotels would leasing a condo in France be too costly for any group of 8? Maybe you have remaining in leased flats abroad throughout your trip?

Thanks & aspire to know what you think all soon!

In my experience I did not feel like France wasn’t as costly as everybody recalls on the other hand I’ve not been back because the economy continues to be lower. Clarifications, I had been mentioning to $20 each day per part of the relation to its attempting to eat at restaurants if not cooking within the kitchen space. My fault because of not being specific enough. My loved ones and I’ve been saving together as to the we’ll get with tax come the coming year we believe we are able to get it done. Otherwise…I am still going by myself!

    Of 120 sq ft?

Superbly repaired inside a nice building and neighborhood?

I’m considering leasing out a really nice but really small studio apartment, for 200 to 250 pounds each week. It features a kitchen space, microwave, wi-fi compatability connection, beautiful decor, private bath and shower.

It’s 50 pounds a evening minimum for inexpensive hotel in paris and a minimum of 22 a evening per person for least expensive youth hostels inside a less nice neighborhood.

    interesting input.

120 squ meters in just like a small room. within this really are a shower and mattress and fold out sofa mattress, fold out or small table, kitchen space, closet, but all quite tight.

I am searching at colleges atm…my home is Canada but AIU within the United kingdom is really a possibility for me personally.

I would survive residence or i would reside in a condo (basically got recognized) I have visited heathrow airport once, and that i watch the show Skins (best show ever) but yeah. Apart from that i’m not sure much about this.

Do you know the people like? I’ve got a Canadian accent (clearly) would that matter to folks there? What regions of London would I not need to reside in? Maybe there is an array of people in the college? Is London filled with partiers? Every other particulars could be greatly appreciated. =]
