Lazy Tourist’s Guide To Visiting Paris

Paris is one of the world’s most beautiful cities, with endless things to see and do during your visit. But sometimes all those tourist attractions can be overwhelming!

Whether you’re on a schedule or simply don’t have the energy to go gallivanting from one end of Paris to the other, this guide will give you a way to experience all the best of Paris using as little energy and time as possible!

The Eiffel Tower

Standing at 320 meters tall, the Eiffel Tower (or la Tour d’Eiffel) is the most prominent symbol of Paris. The tower was erected in 1889 and has remained one of the most magnificent structures in the world. But if you don’t want to brave the 300 steps to reach the top, there are plenty of ways you can still enjoy this spectacle.

The Cafe de l’Homme sits just across from the River Seine at Trocardero and offers a spectacular view of the tower. So you can appreciate the Eiffel tower from the comfort of a fine restaurant with a choice of meals from a stylish, Parisian menu.

Another option is to view the tower from the top of the Arch de Triumphe. The view is fantastic and you can kill two attractions with one visit.

The Ultimate View

For a great 360 degree panorama of all of Paris’ best sights, stand on the southern bank of the Seine. From here you will be able to view the Eiffel Tower, the Seine and along the Champs- Élysées. You can try out one of the floating restaurants dotted around the river or just relax on a bench and soak in the view.

Days Cruises Along the Seine

A great way to absorb all of the beauty Paris has to offer without having to traipse all around the city is to book a day cruise along the seine. You can view all the sights while enjoying a relaxing ride along the river. There are several different cruises to choose from, some starting at just £16. From the river, you can see the Louvre, the Institute of France, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ile Saint Louis, depending on which cruise you choose. Booking a cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of Paris from the serene waters.

Open Bus Tour

Another way to enjoy all the glory of Paris without having to walk around too much or waste time trying to follow dodgy tourist maps is to do an open bus tour. There are a variety of different tours to choose from, all following different routes. If you do fancy trying to cover the city yourself later, the bus is a great way to get your bearings and decrease the chances of getting lost when left to your own devices!

The Musée du Louvre Virtual Tour

The Louvre is an amazing museum and arguably the absolute best to experience the world’s greatest art. However, along with being one of the world’s best museums, it is also one of the largest! For those of you who don’t have the time or energy but have no lacking of enthusiasm, you can peruse through the Louvre’s list of online virtual tours. A quick hotel search will find you the perfect setting to your museum experience. You can sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of champagne in bed while experiencing some truly magnificent art.

So here you have the Lazy Tourist’s Guide to Visiting Paris. Follow these steps and you’ll enjoy everything Paris has to offer with as little effort as possible! Have you been to Paris? Let me know about your experience in the comments below!
