The Oregon Vortex is a popular tourist destination in Oregon that is known for its paranormal phenomena. The vortex is said to be a sphere of force located in a central location. At the vortex, you can see all kinds of anomalies such as a broom standing up on its own, as well as a ball rolling uphill. There are also some definite magnetic forces at play, as compasses give strange readings. Animals are also afraid to enter the vortex area, most likely due to the force that is in play. One of the most interesting exhibits makes it look like the height of two people changes, depending on where they are standing.

The 727 Fuselage Home is a place where you can spend the night in the fuselage of a Boeing 727 fuselage on the side of a hill. Located in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica, this is a one-of-a-kind place to stay. The interior has been completely renovated to form a 2 bedroom suite. It has a back porch that allows you to set out and enjoy the jungle environment as well.

Just like you’ve seen the Eskimos do, you can spend the night in a comfortable and warm igloo. This igloo is a little bit more modernized than what you’d expect, but it is still constructed out of snow and ice.

The Izu Islands are a series of islands in Japan that have some of the most beautiful natural landscapes anywhere in the world. While you can find that on many islands, you won’t have to wear a gas mask on those other islands. On Izu Island, you must wear a gas mask at all times according to law. This is because of the harmful gases that emanate from the volcano on the island. This makes for an interesting hike around the island. It’s not for everyone, but it does make for a pretty memorable trip.

One of the more unknown and unique national monuments in the United States is Craters of the Moon National Monument. It resembles an area of craters like you would find on the moon. There are also lava tubes all over the place where you can explore. It looks like a virtual wasteland and you won’t find any water anywhere. This makes it somewhat dangerous if you get lost and you didn’t happen to bring your own water with you.
Regardless of where you decide to go, try to break outside the norm a bit and explore some of the amazing places that are all over the place. They will make for lasting memories that you can look back on for the rest of your life.
