If New York’s Times Square is the definitive tourists’ street, Bangkok’s Khaosan Road is for backpackers and vagabonds. Thailand is one of the most popular countries for affordable long term travel and while it may be best known for the incredible beaches and islands, the urban culture and chaos of this short but potent central Bangkok street is an almost mandatory destination. Here you will find obscure shops, edible scorpions, crazy live acts, cheap yet delicious foods, the smallest 7 11′s in the world, so many other things as well as it being full of other backpackers. Khaosan Road is one of those places all round the world travelers should experience at least once.

Does Khaosan Road cost anything?
I’m going to Thailand., but my mind is still torn about my accomodations. I don’t know whether I sould look for a hotel in Khao San or in Silom. Plus I need to keep in mind that I would have to travel to got to Phuket as well. Not to mention this is my first time in Thailand!!! Can anyone help me decide on this? It’s driving me crazy!
floating market, grand palace, wat arun, wat pho, cruise dinner, khaosan road, aircond shopping, night bazaar, thai kick boxing.
I am going to bangkok international airport for 6 hours for a stopover, is Khaosan Road worth it?
