Pamukkale is one of Turkey’s greatest attractions and probably the location of the most incredible hot springs in the world. “Cotton Castle” which is the literal translation of Pamukkale has been an attraction since ancient times thousands of years ago and no surprise a World Heritage Site. People have been bathing in these pools for thousands of years, and you can to. If the exoticness is not enough for you, the ancient city of Hierapolis is quite literally on top of this white castle.

I have seen beautiful photos from the pools at Pamukkale but also have heard the water is not there any longer. Is the fact that true? What’s happened? Exist still pools open to the general public?
I wish to visit it but would rather it if there is water to savor.
Thanks
I am planning 4 days visit to Istanbul and I am looking forward to any nearby city which I can visit in 1 day time-frame.
Please Help!!!!
